Pizza Social

18 Oct

Pizza and flirting sounds like my idea of a fantastic evening.

Pizza Express, a London-based pizza restaurant, incorporates the art of conversation into their training program.

Attempting to “feed great conversations” James is reportedly educating staff on “how to flirt (subtly) with customers so they feel more comfortable and relaxed.”

The course is created by professional conversationalist Karl James, owner of The Dialogue Project. In addition to redefining the restaurant experience, the training is a reaction to modern cultures reliance on social media as opposed to direct and personal social interactions.

I always thought social and conversational instruction would be a valuable addition to school curriculum. These skills come easier to some than others but can certainly be taught. It’s a shame to have to pay for a rewarding social experience but the program is a lead that can be followed elsewhere.
